Tips & Tricks

We highly recommend always following the candle care tips in order to get the best result from your candle and avoid any "imperfections". In order to ensure you get the freshest, cleanest and soot free burn, please follow these candle care tips:

 1. Prior to each burn, trim your wick down to 1/4 inch. This helps ensure your flame doesn’t become too large. A trimmed wick emits no soot and will allow a nice slow burn; allowing you to enjoy your candle for longer.

2. When burning your candle for the first time, it is essential to allow the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the vessel. The initial burn should take about 4 hours, creating a memory for consecutive burns. If you do not allow your wax to melt all the way to the edges on your first burn, your candle will tunnel.

3. Stop burning your candle when there is only 1/2 inch of wax left at the bottom as a safety precaution.

4. Do not blow out your candle. Use a candle snuffer or the lid of your jar to extinguish the flame. Blowing out candles is a safety concern and could cause your wick to break off. *Please note, if you are using your lid to extinguish the candle, ensure the flame is fully extinguished before leaving it unattended.

5. Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Allowing your candle to burn longer will increase the size of the wick and cause your candle to burn quicker and at a hotter temperature than is recommended. This also causes the fragrance oil to burn off faster and in turn, you may notice your scent throw will not be as strong during furture burns.

 Wax Melts

1. Our Wax melts will work in any warmer.

2. Soy wax is very soft. When popping out a piece to put into your warmer, it is common to experience breaking or crumbling of surrounding wax. This will not effect the quality.

3. Once you are done with the wax in the warmer, use a cloth to wipe away access wax before letting it cool completely. Kindly refer to your specific warmers instructions for washing.
